The STP represents a new approach to transportation planning. Instead of just forecasting future auto travel on the Denver streets, the City is developing a mathematical model that forecasts person-trips, so that we can evaluate the magnitude of impacts caused by all types of travel. This person-trip data will give us the ability to plan for bikes, pedestrians, and transit as well as for street improvements.
